What areas in New York do you serve?

How much does a new AC installation cost?
AC installation costs vary depending on your home size, ductwork condition, and system choice. A typical residential central AC installation in the New York area ranges from $3,500 to $7,500. Ductless mini-splits start around $2,500 per zone. We provide free, no-obligation quotes — contact us for an exact estimate.

What brands do you install and repair?
We install and service all major HVAC brands including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Mitsubishi, LG, Daikin, Bosch, Burnham, Crown, Rinnai, Lochinvar, Viessmann, Rheem, and Goodman. If your brand isn't listed, we likely still service it — give us a call to confirm.
Are there energy rebates for heat pumps in New York?
Yes! New York offers significant energy rebates through NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) for qualifying heat pump installations. You may be eligible for rebates of $1,000–$14,000+ depending on your system and home. Our team helps you navigate the rebate application process at no extra charge.
How often should my HVAC system be serviced?
We recommend having your HVAC system serviced twice per year — once before summer (cooling tune-up) and once before winter (heating tune-up). Regular maintenance prevents costly breakdowns, extends equipment life by up to 40%, and keeps your system running at peak energy efficiency. Our Comfort Club membership makes this easy and affordable.
What is included in a maintenance tune-up?
Our comprehensive tune-up includes: system inspection and diagnostics, filter replacement, refrigerant level check, electrical connection tightening, thermostat calibration, condensate drain cleaning, safety control testing, and a full performance report. We also check for carbon monoxide leaks on gas-powered equipment.
Do you charge extra for nights and weekends?
No. Pillar HVAC does not charge overtime rates for after-hours service calls. Our emergency technicians are available 24/7 at the same fair rates. No hidden fees, no surprise charges — that's our integrity promise.
What should I do if my furnace smells like gas?
If you smell gas near your furnace: (1) Do NOT turn on any lights or electrical switches. (2) Open windows and doors. (3) Evacuate your home immediately. (4) Call your gas utility company and 911 from outside the home. Once the immediate danger is resolved, call Pillar HVAC at (516) 620-9306 for emergency furnace inspection and repair.
Do you offer warranties on installations?
Yes. All new HVAC installations include a manufacturer's equipment warranty (typically 5–10 years on parts) plus our Pillar HVAC workmanship guarantee. If anything goes wrong with our installation within the first year, we fix it at no charge. Comfort Club members receive extended warranty coverage.
